Caramelized onions Grilled Cheese with apples and Le Grand cheese spread

Time: 20 minutes
Yield : 2 grilled cheese sandwiches


  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ red apple, cut into small sticks
  • 4 tbsp. tablespoon of Le Grand butter; salty or unsalted
  • 4 tbsp. your choice of Le Grand cheese spread
  • 1 tbsp Le Grand spicy pesto
  • A few sliced ​​romaine lettuce leaves
  • 3 tbsp. of thinly sliced ​​flat-leaf parsley
  • A teaspoon of minced fresh oregano (optional but very good!)

  1. In a frying pan, steam your onions and add the butter towards the end when the onions are cooked and leave to caramelize for ten minutes on low heat
  2. In a bowl mix: onions, cheese spread, parsley and oregano
  3. Butter the inside of your bread slices followed by the spicy pesto and add your onion mix
  4. Add romaine leaves and apples
  5. Close the sandwich and place on a heated frying pan over low heat
  6. Butter the exposed side of the bread. Grill 3 or 4 minutes and turn the grilled cheese and butter this side
  7. Heat this side a little and serve
