Macaroni with plant-based “meat”

INGREDIENTS

  • 350g of macaronis
  • 200g of plant-based ground “meat”
  • 1 pouch of Mac ‘N Cheeze Original sauce
  • 200g of diced tomatoes, drained
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 

A creamy and indulgent macaroni, topped with a savoury plant-based “meat” and diced tomatoes. Our Mac ‘N Cheeze Original sauce adds creaminess and sweetness, for a comforting dish that the whole family will love.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring to a boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and reserve.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add the plant-based ground “meat” and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking it appart using a spatula. Stir in the diced tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes to warm through. Add the macaroni.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Transfer the pasta to an oven-safe dish, top with the Mac ‘n Cheeze Original Sauce, and bake for 5–7 minutes until the surface is lightly golden.
  4. Divide the macaroni among plates. Add salt and pepper to taste.
