Puff Pastry Crown with Pesto, Feta, Tomatoes, and Chives

Prep time : 15 minutes

Cook time : 25 to 30 minutes

Servings : 4-6

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet of store-bought rectangular puff pastry
  • 170g of garden pesto or live sun-dried tomato pesto
  • ½ cup crumbled feta
  • ⅓ cup finely diced cherry tomatoes or chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives (or fresh basil, chopped)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Discover our puff pastry crown with pesto, feta, tomatoes, and chives — a simple, delicious recipe that’s perfect for impressing your guests.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Spread the entire surface with garden pesto or live sun-dried tomato pesto.
  3. Sprinkle the feta, tomatoes, and chives evenly over the surface. Roll the pastry lengthwise to form a long log. Seal the edge. Using a knife, make incisions all around the log (about ⅔ of the way through), spacing them every 2 to 3 cm, then bring the ends together to form a crown. Seal the joint.
  4. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy. Serve warm, topped with a few sprigs of fresh chives for garnish, if desired.

Mini calzones with tofu, brocoli, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (about 450g/1lb, homemade or store-bought)

FILLING

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ lb (225 g) firm tofu, grated
  • ½ cup small broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese
  • ¼ cup garden pesto
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 beaten egg (for glazing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Enjoy these mini calzones with tofu, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto—a flavorful, vegetarian recipe full of freshness!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil. Sauté the tofu, broccoli, and sun-dried tomatoes for 5 minutes over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat. Let cool slightly. Stir in the shredded cheese, garden pesto, and nutritional yeast. Mix well.
  3. Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small circle about 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. Place 2–3 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
  4. Fold into a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork. Place the calzones on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with the beaten egg for a shiny glaze.
  5. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with a green salad if desired.

  • 350g of macaronis
  • 200g of plant-based ground “meat”
  • 1 pouch of Mac ‘N Cheeze Original sauce
  • 200g of diced tomatoes, drained
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 

A creamy and indulgent macaroni, topped with a savoury plant-based “meat” and diced tomatoes. Our Mac ‘N Cheeze Original sauce adds creaminess and sweetness, for a comforting dish that the whole family will love.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring to a boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and reserve.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add the plant-based ground “meat” and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking it appart using a spatula. Stir in the diced tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes to warm through. Add the macaroni.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Transfer the pasta to an oven-safe dish, top with the Mac ‘n Cheeze Original Sauce, and bake for 5–7 minutes until the surface is lightly golden.
  4. Divide the macaroni among plates. Add salt and pepper to taste.

INSTRUCTIONS

  4. Baked option (optional) : Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Transfer the pasta to an oven-safe dish, top with the Mac ‘n Cheeze Sriracha Sauce, and bake for 5–7 minutes until the surface is lightly golden.
  5. Divide the spaghetti among plates and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Garden pesto lasagna

INGREDIENTS

  • 9 to 12 lasagna sheets (fresh or pre-cooked)
  • 1 pouch of garden pesto
  • 300g of ricotta cheese
  • 200g of shredded mozzarella
  • 50g of grated parmesan
  • 200g of fresh spinach
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 

A creamy and fragrant lasagna, where our garden pesto blends with the sweetness of spinach and the melting mixture of grilled cheese. Perfect for a comforting family meal, it combines simplicity and fresh flavors.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes, until wilted. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with the garden pesto until smooth and well blended.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the ricotta-pesto mixture. Add a layer of lasagna sheets, then spread some of the ricotta-pesto mixture on top. Add a portion of the spinach and sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pasta.
  4. Cover the top layer with mozzarella and parmesan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced zucchini and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for another 3 minutes until they begin to soften. Stir in the spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes, just until wilted. Remove vegetables from skillet and set aside.
  2. Bring to a boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the gnocchi until they float to the surface. Drain.
  3. In the same skillet used for the vegetables, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the gnocchi, reserved vegetables and spicy olives and jalapenos pesto. Gently toss to coat the gnocchi in the sauce. If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  4. Divide the gnocchi among plates. Add salt and pepper, to taste.

Pennes with sun-dried tomato pesto

  • 200g of penne pasta
  • 1 pouch of sun-dried tomato pesto
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp of grated parmesan (to garnish)
  • Basil leaves (to garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring to a boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the penne according to package instructions. Drain, reserving a bit of the cooking water.
  2. Return the warm pasta to the pot. Add the pouch of sun-dried tomato pesto and mix well. If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  3. Divide the pasta into serving plates. Top with parmesan, salt and pepper to taste. Add one or two basil leaves.
